FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Answers for buyers sourcing from verified manufacturers, and suppliers looking to list their factory.
How does Green Plus Export verify its suppliers?+
Every supplier is checked against their business license, export registration and stated production capability before they can respond to buyer RFQs. Suppliers who complete the full verification review receive a verified badge on their profile and are prioritized in RFQ matching.
Is submitting an RFQ free?+
Yes. Submitting a Request for Quotation costs nothing and carries no obligation to purchase. You only proceed to a paid order once you've reviewed quotes and chosen a supplier.
How fast will I get quotes after submitting an RFQ?+
Most buyers receive their first supplier quotations within 24–48 business hours, depending on product complexity and the number of matched suppliers in that category.
What is a typical minimum order quantity (MOQ)?+
MOQ varies by product and supplier — some categories start as low as 50–100 units, others (especially custom OEM/ODM work) may require several hundred to a few thousand units. Each supplier states their MOQ directly in their quotation, and it's often negotiable for a first order.
Can I request a sample before placing a full order?+
Yes. Most suppliers on the platform can provide a paid sample (sample cost is typically credited against your first bulk order) so you can verify quality, materials and fit before committing to production quantities.
How is quality inspected before my order ships?+
You can request an independent pre-shipment inspection against AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) sampling standards. The inspection report — including photos and, where applicable, video — is shared with you before the goods leave the factory, so you approve shipment rather than discover issues on arrival.
What payment methods and terms are available?+
Payment terms are agreed directly with your supplier and typically follow a staged structure (for example, a deposit before production and the balance before or after shipment), which limits your exposure compared to paying the full amount upfront.
What does "landed cost" mean and why does it matter?+
Landed cost is your true total cost to get goods into your warehouse — product price plus packaging, freight, insurance, duties and customs clearance. Quotes on Green Plus Export are built to make these components visible early, so the price you agree to isn't just the ex-factory unit cost with surprise costs added later.
Which shipping methods are available — and how long do they take?+
Sea freight (most cost-effective for larger orders, typically 20–45 days door-to-door depending on destination), air freight (faster, typically 5–10 days, better for smaller or time-sensitive shipments), and rail freight (a middle-ground option for buyers in Europe and Central Asia) are all available. Your account manager will recommend the right mix based on order size and timeline.
Do you handle customs clearance and import duties?+
Our logistics team prepares the export documentation and coordinates with customs brokers on both ends of the shipment. Import duties and taxes in your destination country remain your responsibility and are estimated up front as part of the landed-cost quote wherever possible.
Can suppliers manufacture custom (OEM/ODM) products?+
Yes — many suppliers on the platform offer OEM (your design, their production) and ODM (their existing design, your branding) services. State this requirement in your RFQ and we'll match you with suppliers experienced in custom manufacturing for your category.
What certifications can suppliers provide?+
Depending on the product category and destination market, suppliers can typically provide certifications such as CE, FCC, RoHS, ISO 9001, BSCI and country-specific compliance documents (for example FBR/PSQCA-relevant paperwork for Pakistan). Specify required certifications in your RFQ so only qualified suppliers respond.
Do I need to create an account to browse products or categories?+
No — you can browse categories, supplier profiles and country sourcing guides without an account. An account is created automatically the first time you submit a quote request or RFQ, so your history and documents are saved for future orders.
Is my information kept confidential?+
Yes. Your RFQ details, pricing negotiations and documents are only visible to you, our sourcing team, and the specific suppliers you're actively quoting with — they are not shared publicly or with competing suppliers.
Supplier & account questions
How much does it cost to list as a supplier?+
Creating a supplier account and listing your product catalog is free. There is no listing fee and no commission taken on sales you close with buyers through the platform.
How long does supplier verification take?+
Verification review is typically completed within 2–3 business days of submitting your business license and production details. You can list products and receive some RFQ matching before verification completes, but the verified badge and priority matching only apply after review.
How many products can a supplier list?+
There is no limit on the number of products a verified or unverified supplier account can list. New listings enter a brief moderation queue before going live to buyers.
How are RFQs matched to suppliers?+
RFQs are matched by product category, and verified suppliers are prioritized ahead of unverified ones within the same category. Suppliers with complete, detailed product listings and fast response times also tend to receive more matches over time.
Can I message a buyer directly to negotiate?+
Yes. Once matched to an RFQ, you can message the buyer directly inside your supplier dashboard to clarify specifications, negotiate MOQ or pricing, and share updated quotations — the full conversation history is kept with the RFQ record.
What happens if I miss an RFQ or respond late?+
There's no penalty, but buyers typically compare quotes from the suppliers who respond fastest, so timely responses meaningfully improve your win rate. You can enable notifications so new matched RFQs reach you immediately.
Do I need an export license to sell through the platform?+
You need whatever export documentation is legally required in your jurisdiction to ship internationally — the same as any other export sale. Our verification review checks that your registered business license supports the export activity you're listing products for.
